Born Sept. 25, 1918, in New York City, he recently moved to Norwalk after living in Westport resident for more than 40 years. He was a graduate of DeWitt Clinton High School in Manhattan and the NYU College of Commerce.
He had been an accountant for 70 years in the Tri-State area, and was a founding member and past president of the Sunrise Rotary Club in Westport.
He was predeceased by his wife, Bertha Weinstein, and daughter, Nadine Lawton.
Survivors include two daughters, Diana Press and Shelley Forrester, both of Norwalk; six grandchildren, Adam and Emily Lawton, Allison and Nicole Press, and Jeff and James Forrester.
A memorial service will take place at 10:30 a.m. April 22 in the Leo P. Gallagher and Sons Funeral Home on Summer Street in Stamford. Memorial donations may be made to Rotary International or Hadassah.
