Carol Ann Virga (nee Sardanelli), 66, passed away peacefully following a long and courageous battle with an illness on May 6, 2019.

Carol was born March 9, 1953, and raised in Westerleigh by her parents, Ann (Ducky) and Frank. She graduated from Port Richmond High School. For 25 years she was employed as a secretary for the law office of Robert Minogue, Esq.

Carol loved spending time with family and carrying on traditions, especially baking during Christmas and Easter. A true homemaker, she was a kind and inviting person who loved music, dining out, and the Yankees.

Carol is survived by her husband, Joe, to whom she was married for 40 years. In 2013 they retired to a lake house in Delaware where they enjoyed the past six years. Carol is also survived by her daughters, Lisa (Trevor) and Renee (Dave), grandchildren, Colin, Brynn, and Jovie; her brothers, Tommy, Joey, and Frank; and many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services to be held at Casey Funeral Home. Visiting hours are Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass is at St. Theresa's on Friday at 10:45 a.m. followed by interment at Moravian Cemetery.

Many memories with my sister Carol Ann. We came together as a family in 1963, I now had a sister and brother. She was my very first dance partner, as she taught me to dance in our basement on Crystal Ave. She introduced me to her many friends that would always be over our house. She was the big sister that rounded me out.
