9 April , 195122 October , 2019

James Pearsall, a life-long resident of Staten Island, suddenly passed away on October 22, 2019.

Jim spent his working career with Con Edison at the Travis Avenue location. He was active in the Con Ed Retirement Association; and enjoyed meeting friends from Con Ed for ice cream. Some of Jim’s favorite things were playing with his dog Cooper; a good Prime Rib dinner with a friend, a cold beer, and a good joke. He actively kept up with politics and current events; reading the S.I. Advance from cover to cover. Jim loved computers and electronics as well as music and cars. He will not miss having to rake up “itchy balls” in the yard. He is survived by his loving sisters, Frances Craig Brewster, Mary Pearsall, Patricia Pearsall-Ramey, his loving nieces and nephews and grand-nieces. He will be so very missed by his family, friends, and his dog, Cooper. Cooper is being well-loved by Jim’s sister Fran. A memorial gathering for friends and family will be held on Friday, 11/15/19 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm at the Casey McCallum Rice Funeral Home, located at 30 Nelson Avenue, SI 10308. A memorial mass will be held at St. Patricks’s Church on Saturday, 11/16/19, from 11-11:45AM. The church is located at 53 St. Patricks Place, SI 10306

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to either of these animal rescue and adoption organizations: 1. North Shore Animal League located in Port Washington, New York. www. Animalleague.org 2. ASPCA www.aspca.org

Every year for the past 20+ years, Uncle Jimmy would call me on Thanksgiving and start off our conversation with "Gobble, Gobble, Gobble, Happy Thanksgiving!" We would talk for an hour, say we were going to hang up and then end up talking for about another hour or so. I always looked forward to these calls and will miss them tremendously!

You went away so suddenly, we did not get to say goodbye. But family can never be parted and loving memories never die.
You'll always be in our hearts and prayers.
Your loving sister,
