Rabbi Lynne Landsberg lost her battle with cancer on Monday evening, February. 26, 2018. She was 66 years old. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Ward; son, Jesse Ward; brothers, Michael and his wife, Lorrie Landsberg and Jonathan and his wife, Gina Landsberg; along with many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Temple Micah, 2829 Wisconsin Avenue NW in Washington, D.C. Reception to follow at Temple Micah. Temple Micah will be live streaming the service at: https://templemicah.org/our-livestream/.
The internment and service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 2,2018 at the Temple House of Israel Cemetery on 1907 N. Augusta St. in Staunton. Reception to follow at Temple House of Israel at 15 N. Market St. in Staunton.
The family is providing transportation to Temple Micah from Staunton. The bus will depart at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 1, from Temple House of Israel at 15 N. Market St. with an approximate return time of 7 p.m. Please call (540) 430-0620 to reserve space by 4 p.m. Feb. 28,2018.
The family will be receiving visitors during the observance of Shiva, the Jewish mourning period, at Rabbi Landsberg’s home on 20 S. Washington St. in Staunton from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, March 3,2018; 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, March 4,2018 and 7-9 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, March 5-7,2018.
