Jonathan “Slim” Gurley age 83 of Decatur passed away April 4, 2013. Mr. Gurley retired from Georgia Power after 38 years of service. He is survived by his wife: Betty Gurley, children: Darrell Miles and Donna Gurley, Belinda Kay and Steven Cronan , Wendell James and Jamie Gurley, 10 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral service for Mr. Gurley will be held on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel with Bishop Jerry Patterson officiating, interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday April 7, form 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
