Don passed away suddenly in his home in Merced CA. Don was a very generous, smart, and loving man. Spirituality was very important to him, he grew up as a Seventh Day Adventist and had unfailing faith in our Lord. Family always came first with Don. He was very loyal and had a wonderful sense of humor. Don was a very organized man who never settled for anything less than the best. He never thought twice before helping someone in need. He was very patriotic and proud to be a Vietnam Veteran. He enjoyed sharing his experience about being in the war and felt honored to have had the opportunity to serve our country. Don was also recognized for his dedication to Lockheed Martin for 25 years. But his main accomplishments were his two daughters and eight grandchildren that he always made sure to brag about. Don is survived by his mother Ethel Russell, brothers Frank, Fred, sisters Karin, Sharon, and Cheryl. He is also survived by his two daughters Amber Kirby (husband: Brian), Hilary Bertuccio (husband: Jim) and his eight grandchildren James, Haley, Cyndle, Cynthia, Bridget, Emily, Khloe, and Tucker. Dons (Dads) love, tenderness, and compassion for others are things we will miss the most about him. But his stories and legacies will live on forever. All who would like to remember Don are welcome to join the service at Campbell Seventh Day Adventist 600 W. Campbell Ave. Campbell, CA 95008 on Saturday November 4th at 4pm. Flowers may be sent to Campbell Seventh Day Adventist.
