It is with sadness, but acceptance, that we announce the passing of our mother / grandmother on July 31, 2025 at the grand age of 100 years.
June is survived by her loving family; sons, Bruce (Susan), Ted (Helena), daughters, Donna Beutler, Lorea Ladner (Kevan), and Brenda Ogden, 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was born and raised on the shore of Buffalo Lake near Bashaw. Her adult life was separated into three distinct phases: marriage to Stanley and farming life at Alix, an active retirement in Osoyoos, BC, and an eventual return to family in Stony Plain.
A Burial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 8, 2025 at the Alix Cemetery. Following the service, please join the family for lunch and refreshments at the United Church in Alix at 4850 49 St.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Senior Citizens’ Society of Stony Plain or a charity of one’s choice.
