Dean, Joanne and family.
We just found out about your losses. Jaki and I send you are deepest condolences on your loss. I remember him when you first moved here from England. My heart sank when our daughter Morgan mentioned to me today if we had heard. She shared with me the link. I am so so sorry.
We will keep Leighton in our prayers.
Again our condolences on your losses.

I will never forget Leighton. He was my favorite of all of my son Deon's friends because of his beautiful outgoing, charming personality. We went on a camping trip to Tofino BC and Leighton accompanied Deon in Deon's car for the trip out together. We spent almost a week camping and having a great time. Having Leighton join us that year was definitely the highlight of the trip. He was so enjoyable to be around. He was helpful and just a good time, always smiling and making us laugh. I think Deon was a little put out at times, because Leighton was always offering to help with something around the campsite from prepping food to dishes to chopping wood to helping with my young daughters. We would say to Deon " geez you should be more like Leighton" and Leighton would turn to him and say with his smirk and slight accent, "yeah Deon, you should be more like me". And we would all enjoy a little laugh including Deon.
I am heartbroken that his life was stolen so soon from him and from his family and friends but i am so thankful that Deon was able to have such an amazing young man for a friend.

Rembering Leighton racing around on his push bike doing tricks with it from a young age, he was always bike mad.
Leighton even as a young child had to have the outfit to match the game he was playing. He was fashion conscious even then.
Calling at his Grans at mealtime always making room for Grans dinners even if already eaten at home.
Moving to Canada for the big adventure, an adventure cut short too soon , so much left to give.
Left now is loving memories of a caring handsome young man.
Rest peacefully knowing we will continue to love and remember you.
