Holmes, Nancy Willis, 89, passed away peacefully Aug. 1, 2013 at her home at North Hill, Needham, MA surrounded by her children. A graduate of Windsor School and Vassar College, Nancy was an avid tennis player and summered at Squirrel Island, ME. She loved to sing and was involved with many chorus groups through the years. She was also a lifelong patron of the Boston Symphony. She had several local charities that benefitted from her generosity over the years. She is survived by her two children; Elizabeth B. W. Hastings and her husband, Ripley, of Weston and Jay Willis and his wife, Deborah, of Saunderstown, RI; her brother, Nelson Dingley Hooe and his wife, Susanne, of Westwood. She also leaves behind six grandchildren. Donations can be made to either The Squirrel Island Library or the Squirrel Island Chapel Association. A memorial service will be held Saturday October 26,2013, at the First Parish Church of Weston,349 Boston Post Rd.,Weston at 11:00 AM.
