Robert I. Ditzel

Bob leaves behind his beloved wife, Ida Ditzel; his son, Scott Ditzel, is daughters-in-law, Kristen and Karen Ditzel; his sister and brother-in-law Patty and Fred Langebartels; six grandchildren Andrew, Mathew, Peter, Kenny, Emily & Becky; many nieces and nephews; and many close friends. He is preceded in death by his son, Kenny Ditzel.

Born and raised in Queens, New York, he retired and moved to The Villages, Florida in October 2004.

Bob loved life and was very active in his retirement. He played golf several times a week, worked out and enjoyed playing cards. One of his favorite things was meeting friends for breakfast at Panera several times each week.

Bob spent hours with his dog, Champ. They would take walks in the morning and spend time in the afternoons at the local lake.

Bob was a loving and caring husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend. Those who knew him were blessed to have him in their lives. He was always smiling and joyful. He will be missed everyday by his friends and family.

Services will be held at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in The Villages, Florida on Friday January 10, 2020 at 8:30am.

Contributions may be made to the Veteran’s Warriors and St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
