Charles Lindbergh Coberly

COBERLY, Charles Lindbergh, passed away on August 5, 2018 at the age of 89. Charles was a lifelong resident of Tampa. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked as an Inspector for the Florida State Department of Agriculture until he retired after 32 years of service. Charles loved his family, his dogs, and working in his yard. He was a master handyman and enjoyed using this gift to help his family and friends. His church, Carrollwood Baptist where he served as a Deacon, meant a great deal to him. Working in the church kitchen on Wednesday nights was a job he dearly loved. He is preceded in death by his parents Mayselle and Carl Coberly; sisters, Eloise Manaton and Johnnysue Hay; brother, Spencer Coberly. Charles is survived by Joan, his beloved wife of 63 years; daughter, Laurie Greco, son in law Al Greco; daughter, Jill Bucholtz and son in law Stephen Bucholtz. He was also the proud grandfather of his two grandchildren Ashley Greco and Benjamin Bucholtz. A visitation will be held at 1 pm with a funeral service at 2 pm Saturday August 11th, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
