William Bernard Borm

Borm, William Bernard a 40 year resident of Torrance passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2001 in Torrance. Born in Dayton, Ohio, William was 68. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Elizabeth of almost 45 years. He is survived by his eldest son Gary B. Borm and fiancee Brenda Bergseid of Atascadero, CA, and youngest son Dr. Barry J. Borm and wife Cherry of El Segundo, CA; twin granddaughters Leilani Rose and Danielle Elizabeth; brothers Hans (Ann) Borm of Woodinville, WA, Roland (Pat) Borm of Hilton Head, SC, Gerald (Gloria) Borm of Minnetonka, MN; and sister Carol (Burt) Reiniger of Punta Gorda FL. William married Elizabeth Newell June 16, 1956 and settled in Southern California in 1962. William was an Electrical Engineer for Hughes Aircraft for over 30 years. He was completely selfless from fixing faucets to finance; he could and did do anything for anyone. He was truly a self made man. He was a loving and devoted husband, an exemplary father and grandfather. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He was a member of the Lutheran Church Of The Good Shepherd in Torrance. Visitation will be held Monday, April 16, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd. in Torrance. Funeral Services will be at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 21100 Victor Street, in Torrance on Tuesday, April 17th at 2:00 PM.
