Peter served in the Air Force and married his wife of 52 years, Mildred (Welby) on Jan. 8, 1965, in Farmington. Peter worked and retired from Burroughs Corporation. A move to Clam Lake in 1990 became his joy in retirement, moving to Traverse City in 2005 brought him closer to the casino, but a move in May to Fort Walton Beach, FL, brought him closer to family.
Peter is survived by his two stepdaughters Carol (Charles) Klomp and Lori (John) Gorham; his step-grandchildren, Michelle (Michael) Klomp-Davis, John William and Keith Gorham; his step-great grandson, Will Gorham, and ever so brief, by his eldest sister Lillian Lawson.
Peter was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and siblings Leo Nesteruk & Anna Homent.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens in Traverse City, MI.
