Normalinda Carrion went home to the Lord on May 8, 2018. She was born in San Juan, Texas on February 8, 1935. She is preceded in death by her parents Carlos & Amada (Navarro) Monsivais and sister Belia Aguilar.
Loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother she touched the hearts of everyone she knew! Her love of Jesus Christ shined through her beautiful soul and her wisdom enlightened us all. We will miss her terribly. The faith she ensured we grew up with, leaves us with a strong desire and hope to join her in Heaven some day. Until we meet again our beautiful angel!
Normalinda is survived by her six children Barbara Martinez (husband Joe H. Jr.), Ismael Carrion Jr. (wife Rosemary), Rosalinda Sanchez, Harold J. Carrion (wife Debbie), Clara Bruner (husband Thomas), Elizabeth Biles (husband Ken). She has 14 grandchildren Leticia, Joe Henry, Anna, Alex, Sonia, Daniel, Matthew, John Paul, Justin, Christian, Richard, Raymond, Catherine, Vivian; and great grandchildren numbering 15.5 to include Mikaela, Mia, Anthony, Toby, Colton, Blake, Mason, Noah, Nikolas, Gavin, Gabriella, Noah, Cecilia, Olivia, Jocelyn, Baby Delilah Marie due in September;. She is also survived by her siblings Carlos Monsivais Jr., Manuela Delagarza (husband Jimmy), Richard Monsivais (wife Olga) and Roland Monsivais (wife Amalia); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. (rosary at 7:00 p.m.) at Colonial Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
