I was a volunteer for over 9 years at Shannon Oaks. I was good friends with Arie & Joan. I would talk with Arie just to see how he is doing. I would help plant bulbs and flowers in Arie's garden at Shannon Oaks. Arie would ask me to help him with the computer and walk around the court yard. Arie was a true follower of God cause the way he would encourage me in my struggles. I had cancer 2 times and in some pain. But Arie would always say never give up on God cause he Loves you and is there for strength. I will miss Arie and his smiles and his joking around. I had good memories of Arie and Joan.

Dear cousins,
My condolences on the death of your father. Ome Arie to me and a special brother to my mother.
I remember him as a kind man and I believe he will missed very much.
It is hard to loose both parents so soon after each other, but maybe it is a comfort for you to know they can be together again.
I hope all the good memories will help you all.
Kind regards,
also on behalf of Jaap
