It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather Jimmy Yasuo Uchida, who passed away March 20, 2021 at the age of 81. He is survived by his daughters Raelene and Tyra; son-in-law John; sisters Jane, Mary, Nellie as well as his brother Richard. Jimmy loved his five grandchildren Shaye, Hailey, Cole, Liam and Hanna.

Born in Port Alice, BC on August 12, 1939, Jimmy worked very hard his entire life as a bodyman and continued on in the Okanagan. His love for camping & fishing remained his passion right until the end.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the SPCA in Jimmy's memory.

Dear Families,
So very sad for our great loss of a dear dad, brother, uncle, grandfather, father-in-law and friend.
He probably would’ve wanted a few more years, however, definitely not just clinging to Life and suffering the consequences.
He is in a Good Place without the pain of health issues, stress nor worries.
We are grateful for his Life and being blessed to have been a precious part of us, all.
Sayonara, Jim.
Lovingly, Stan and Jane Yip.

We will always remember Jimmy as being, gentle and kind-hearted. With Jimmy living a fair distance away, we wished we could have spent more time with him. The visits that we made to Vernon, we will always cherish.
You will be missed greatly.
Love, Alan & Mary
