Shelia was born in Lake Charles, LA to parents William and Glenera Stubbs on July 11, 1948. She was a native of Lake Charles, LA and a lifelong resident of Westlake, LA. Shelia graduated from Westlake High School Class of 1966. She was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church. She retired from McNeese State University as the Custodial Manager after 10 years of service. Shelia loved watching Billy Graham, QVC, HSN, being outside doing yard work, visiting with family, and spoiling her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Todd Runnels and Randy of Bridge City, TX and Cory Runnels and Tiffany of Westlake, LA; her two sisters Dorothy Hill of Westlake, LA and Geineva Savant of Kinder, LA; and her six grandchildren, Alexis, Brooke, Blake, Nicholas, Sophia, and Ryker.
A visitation will be held Thursday October 21, 2021 at 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Hixson Westlake Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Friday October 22, 2021 starting at 8 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. John Bosco’s Catholic Church at 10 a.m. led by Reverend Jenesh Joseph. on Friday October 22, 2021. Burial will immediately follow at Westlake Memorial Park.
