Seonghee was born in Seoul, Korea, grew up in the Chicago area, earning a B.A. in Studio Art at Northern Illinois University and worked as a graphic designer before moving to Colorado twenty years ago. She was a talented artist and recently shared her love of art by volunteering at the Denver Art Museum. She also was a dedicated wife and mother, and was loved by all who met her because of her sunny disposition and generosity.
She is survived by her husband, Brian; her two children, Alexander and Katharine; her mother, Grace Gehrim; sister, Jinhee Wilde; brother, James Gehrim; and her two nephews, Winston and Brendon Wilde.
Services will be held at 9:30 AM, Saturday, June 15th at the Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, Pavilion of Reflections.
The Seonghee Hedlund Memorial Fund has been established at the Denver Art Museum in honor of Seonghee, who was a passionate and valued volunteer at the museum.
