Rose, Betty Jean, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 13, 2018. Betty was born on February 5, 1928 in Fort Scott, KS to James and Florence Ricketts. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Alonzo L. Rose; parents; brother, Ray Ricketts; sister, Ila Kennedy; grandson, Jeff Ehlert. Betty is survived by daughter, Jeanne "Rose" (Roger) Ehlert of Haysville; sons, Lawrence "Larry" (Joanne Laing) Rose of Fountain Valley, CA and Bruce (Kathleen Wallace) Rose of Towanda, KS; 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial service 10 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2018 at Resthaven Mortuary with interment following service at Resthaven Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Retired Firefighters or Plane of Mercy c/o Midian Shrine.
