Billups, Phyllis Jean, 83, transitioned to eternal glory Jan. 30, 2011. She will be in state 1-5 Wed. Feb. 2, with services 10:30 a.m. Thur. Feb. 3, both at Hillside West, 2929 W. 13th St. North, Wichita. Phyllis was born to Horace E. and Myrtle M. (Brawley) Tolbert Oct. 24, 1927 in Coffeyville, Kansas. Phyllis married Robert E. Billups on Feb. 14, 1946. When Robert returned from Germany after W.W. II, to their union were born 3 children: Robert, Larry, and Cynthia. Phyllis retired from Don Roberts and Associates after 25 years of being an appliance representative. Survivors include her son Robert (Tracy) Billups and daughter Cynthia (Terry) Dyke, both of Wichita; grandchildren Chris Billups, Clinton Billups, Kelly Billups, Taryn Dyke, Brett (Kim) Dyke, and 5 great grandchildren.
