Markey, Sherley, 94, of Wichita, Kansas passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, May 13, 2018 in Wichita. Sherley was born the daughter of Elmo and Gertrude Swengel on November 14, 1923 in Newton, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John B. Markey, sons, Stuart and Victor Markey, bother, John G. Swengel. She is survived by her loving son Doug and his wife Billie Markey and several grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Cathy Markey. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with funeral service following on Saturday, May 19, 2018 both at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita, Kansas. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita. Memorials can be made to the ALS Association Mid-America Chapter, Central Kansas Office, 3450 N. Rock Rd., Ste. 211, Wichita, Kansas 67226 or Midwest Battle Buddies, PO Box 43, Rose Hill, Kansas 67133.
