

Born on January 19, 1945 in Flint, Michigan. She was the daughter of late Kenneth A. Dimond and Elaine W. Dimond.
She graduated from Swartz Creek High School in 1963 and Miller Motte with a degree in Business Administration and Accounting in 1977.
In between schools she served in the US Women’s Army Corps as a Medical Corpsman. After graduating from Miller Motte she went on the service in a volunteering capacity for over 41 years. She worked tirelessly coaching girls’ softball at Supper Optimist Club. She also volunteered at Laney High School and Noble Middle School. She faithfully served in Scouting for 41 years in many rolls. During this time, she helped many young men achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. Through her years of Scouting, she received numerous awards. Among those awards were the Lifetime Achievement Award and Cape Fear Award. She was also a Silver Beaver Award recipient. .
Through her many years of dedication she has touched many lives. Her influence will be remembered for many years to come. Those who she mentored on the softball field, in school and in scouting will always remember the rough exterior but the caring heart.
She is survived by her son, Gerald D. Eldridge (Emily); granddaughters, Amanda, Sarah and Kira Eldridge; sister, Beverly Aspenleiter (Tom) and brother, Tom Dimond (Carolyn). She was preceded in death by her best friend, Carol Bullis.
A visitation will be held at Andrews Market Street Chapel at 1:00 with a service to follow at 2:00 on Friday, February 5, 2016. A graveside service will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Shipyard Blvd after the 2:00 service.
