My sincerest condolences to the Desautels family - Ilse, Richard, Michael, Keith and Brian as well as extended family.
I have so many fond memories of Maurice, especially out at the cabin. Whether it was having some laughs over drinks, playing 11 cents or doing Maurice code on his window while he was trying to sleep. No matter how rowdy his kids' friends got, we were always made to feel welcome......and like part of the family.
You will be missed Mo!! Rest in peace xox

So many great memories of you “Slo-Mo” from the lake. Whether it was a good laugh around the fire or sharing a meal of smoked turkey on the porch. I have missed the image of you on the John Deere (beer in tow) cutting lawn on a hot summer day over the last few years. But the memories remain. Go in peace my friend.

The last time I saw Maurice he gave me a great big smile accross the room and an equally big hug when I made it over to him. He made me feel welcome and like I was one of his own. I can't help but think that he is happy now, in his typical pose, of legs crossed, relaxed look, and Lady on his lap. To the man that taught me to fish, and was there for the important milestones in my life, thanks for everything. Sleep well.

Maurice will be truly missed . He was always able to help when we needed a hand .
I enjoyed watching him at the cottage many times riding the lawn tractor around . It seemed it was a job he truly enjoyed . When I was only 14 years old he took me for a trip to Regina in a big tractor trailer . In the back he was hauling 7 cars . I was amazed how he drove them on and off that trailer .
Maurice was also a great guest at family gatherings . He always had an adventure he spoke about in his travels as a truck driver . He loved family gatherings and events .
