Eva Louise Layman was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, April 1, 1920 to James and Eleanor Hampson. Her life with Jesus continued on October 27, 2018, after being cared for at Kissito Palm View for 7 years.
Preceding her in death were parents James and Eleanor Hampson and husband Carl D. Layman. Survivors are daughter Karen Killingsworth of Yuma, AZ (Paul) and son Carl Layman, Jr of Duncan OK (Brenda), Grandchildren; Paula, Annette, Karla, Christina, Janela, David, Kenna, and 11 great grandchildren.
Eva and Carl were married for 51 years. They moved from Oklahoma City, OK to Yuma, AZ in 1953. She worked at the Kofa High School cafeteria for several years. Her membership of 63 years at Yuma First Assembly of God Church were fulfilling. She was Sunday School superintendent, Sunday School teacher, Christian Cadel instructor and dependable as needed.
A Memorial Celebration at Johnson's Mortuary is scheduled November 1, 2018 at 10 am with burial beside her husband at Desert Lawn Memorial Park. Pastor Paul Killingsworth with Assistant Pastor Paula Milner will officiate. Friends and loved ones are invited.
In lieu of flowers, rememberances may be sent to Yuma First Assembly Life Center Project.
