History

Lobby at Ourso Funeral HomeOurso Funeral Home was founded by Sidney Ourso Sr. in 1939 in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, as a partnership with Milburn Landry. The business was originally known as Landry-Ourso Funeral Home. Following the death of Milburn, the partnership dissolved and the funeral home became Ourso Funeral Home, Inc. Our current location at 134 Houmas Street in Donaldsonville was established in late 1940.

Expansion

Our funeral home later expanded with the addition of our Gonzales location, as well as chapel locations in White Castle and Pierre Part, Louisiana.
