Patricia Ann Hayward, age 88, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Richard (Dick) Hayward; parents Walter and Ethel Hoke; brothers Roger Hoke and Lee Hoke; and son, Mark Hayward. She will be remembered by her children Richard (Patti) Hayward, Glenn (Loretta) Hayward, Craig (Mary) Hayward, and Bruce (Janet) Hayward; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; siblings Donald (LaDonna) Hoke and Jean (Don) Sutton; and sister-in-law, Janet Hoke; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Patricia is remembered as a loving mom and grandma. After retirement, she and her husband Dick often traveled to spend time with their grandchildren. She was a big Tiger’s baseball fan and rarely missed a game; she also enjoyed reading, working on puzzles, and playing Uno with her family.
Visitation with relatives and friends will be from 4 - 6 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, 312 N. Main Street, Wayland, MI 49348. There will be a private funeral service with immediate family. In honor of Patricia and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice of Grand Rapids, 625 Kenmoor Ave. SE, Suite 115, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.
