James Andrew McWhorter, age 57, of Macon, Ga, went to be with his Lord and Saviour, September 7, 2021. A visitation will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021, from 5:00-7:00 at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, 3077 Pio Nono Ave, Macon, GA 31206 for family and friends. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 10, 2021, at 1:00 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Rhine, GA.
James was born on January 29, 1964, in Telfair County, GA. He was known for his positive outlook on life and strong will to overcome all obstacles put before him.
James was preceded in death by his father, Bobby James McWhorter; Grandparents Grace & Woodrow Williamson and Ethel Mae & Lawson McWhorter; and infant older brother, Bobby James McWhorter II. He is survived by his mother, Harlean Williamson McWhorter; sisters Bobalean M. Rush (Frankie Holloway), Janna McWhorter; his Uncle Hero Terry Williamson; niece Elizabeth (Joshua) Pugh; great aunt, Faye Rogers; brother-in-law, David Rush; and numerous other family members.
