Raymond Cerda, Jr., 61, of Vidor, died Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Laredo, Raymond has lived in Vidor for 20 years, and was a roofer with JAG Enterprises. Raymond was a member of the YMBL, Raymond also was a proud member of The Elks Lodge where he volunteered at the clubs fireworks stand where he was awarded honor for selling the most fireworks, Raymond also was a member of a championship winning BBQ team, he was also an Avid Renaissance Festival Attendee, and Raymond also received an award from the mayor for the most volunteered hours as a parent.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Christo Rey Catholic Church under the direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and a Rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Cerda, Sr., his mother, Rita Guerrero, his stepfather, Isidro Guerrero, his wife, Eva Cerda, sisters, Edna and Ramona, and his brothers, Anthony Cerda and Paul Guerrero
Raymond is survived by his sons, Hugo Samuel of Orange, Alex Cerda of Vidor, brothers, Henry Cerda and his wife Hayley of Knoxville, AR., Gerald Cerda and his wife Tamara of Lakeview, TX., sisters, Angel Guerrero and her husband Adam of Orange, and Kim Marks of Vidor, and by a host of nieces and nephew.
Raymond will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
