About

For more than a century, Sallows and McDonald – Wilson and Zehner Funeral Home has provided funeral and cremation services to North Battleford families. And though our 103rd Street location—a beautiful Arts and Crafts-style house built in 1913—and the services we provide have evolved and expanded through the years, what hasn't changed is our commitment to exceeding expectations and the idea that a funeral should reflect a person's individuality.

Unique and memorable funerals

Whether you are seeking a basic cremation with cremated remains scattered in a personally meaningful place, a traditional funeral service in our modern chapel with a catered luncheon that follows, or a modern celebration of life with live music, favourite foods and a send-off that speaks to the personality and passions of yourself or your loved one, we make it happen.

Want a dove release for your mother? Jars of grandma's jam as a memento? Dad's favourite tribute band playing after guests share their fondest memories? Yes. The list is endless.

A trusted friend and neighbour

As a member of the Dignity Memorial® network, Sallows and McDonald – Wilson and Zehner Funeral Home gives you not only the warm, familiar attention you expect from a locally operated funeral home but also the value you deserve by way of the largest network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers in North America.

We're here to serve you, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you need immediate assistance planning a funeral or information about planning ahead, please call us.

History

Established in 1908 as Convey & Sallows Funeral Home and later becoming Sallows & Boyd Funeral Home, our firm first operated from a location on 101st Street and then on 11th Avenue. In 1947, we moved to the present location on North Battleford's 103rd Street, a stately 2-story house originally built in 1913 and once the residence of the Saskatchewan Hospital superintendent.

In 1952, our name changed again, to Sallows & McDonald Funeral Home.

Meanwhile, in 1993, Saskatchewan business partners Brent Wilson and Donald Zehner fulfilled their lifelong dream when they opened Wilson and Zehner Funeral Home.

The two firms join together

In 2011, Sallows and McDonald Funeral Home and Wilson and Zehner Funeral Home merged to become Sallows and MacDonald – Wilson and Zehner Funeral Home.

Through the years, our facility and the funeral business have evolved to reflect the changing needs of the North Battleford community. We added a large chapel and concourse to better serve our families. The concourse was then renovated in 2012 to serve as a tea/lunch room.

With an eye toward exceeding expectations, our team holds fast to the idea that a funeral should reflect a person's individuality.
