I still think of Alinda all the time - she was such an amazing person and someone who made such an incredible impact on my life and on that of my twins.  

I love you Alinda and miss you so very much!

My heart is broken, my mind confused, and it can not accept the fact that you are gone. You were the definition of unconditional love, comfort and care; you were there for me every single time I needed you! I feel very blessed that I had a chance in this lifetime to meet someone so unique and special; unfortunately, God doesn't make people like you anymore! When Alinda worked at First Christian Church, she was one of the kindest people I knew.  I have many memories of the thoughtful kindnesses she displayed in her work with others at the church.

You proved that you don't have to be related by blood to be family.  You have been "Manny" to my kids since they have known you and gave them a grandmother they so badly needed.  It's hard to imagine life without you, because of the amount of love that you gave to Lisa, the twins and myself.  There is a noticeable hole in our lives with you not in it.  I've never met anyone so willing to help others and who was always there to soothe the pain during hard times and to celebrate the joys.  We only see now how much we took for granted your time here with us.  Our hearts break for our loss.  But Heaven is so much sweeter now that you are there.   We miss you very much and love you very deeply.

Alinda welcomed me with open arms into the family 40 years ago. She had that contagious smile and you knew when you met her, she was a rare gem, and truly had a servants heart. My heart breaks for Bill,  & Eugene, and for Angeline and Gene. ❤️

Aunt Alinda, I love you so much.   I love your smile, your sense of adventure, your laugh, and most of all your hugs. I’ll think about you, and probably cry a little, each time we float the river in Beavers Bend. My tears will be joyful though. I’m so grateful for these wonderful memories we have made as a family, they’re the kind that make life so sweet.

ALINDA - I love you sweet friend, and I am so so sad that you are gone.   I feel so empty inside  I know I used to always tell you that you were like a sister to me, but the truth is the you were like a second mother to me.   I selfishly turned to you for everything in my life, and you were always selflessly there  for me, and the twins for the past 10 years.  I am so thankful God put you in our lives.  

We both know that I could not have made it without you, especially when I first adopted the twins, and then later when I opened my law practice. 

I honestly have never had a friend like you before  and I am going to miss you so much.  

I will never forget you, and I will miss you but I know you shot straight to heaven and I know you will be there to greet me and the twins when it is our time to join you.    I love you so very much!

I was shocked and saddened when I received the call of your mother's passing.   The Ellis Family is very special to me.  The memories of my childhood and late adolescence are filled with great memories and experiences of the times I spent with your family.   Your mother was ALWAYS so kind, caring and welcoming to me and the countless others that passed through.   I know you will miss her and I pray you will find comfort in knowing she is in a better place.

My sweet Mother-in-law, 
You will never know how much I loved and appreciated you. You not only treated me like a daughter-in-law, you treated me like a daughter. I loved our late night chats, sometimes laughing, sometimes crying. You were my friend and I love you. Squeeze my precious man for me and tell him I'll see him, and you, when I get there. 

Alinda was one of sweetest people and probably the most caring  person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.  She absolutely brought love and light into whatever room she was in.  She made me laugh all the time and her sassy attitude makes me smile just thinking about it.  I will miss her and the warmth she brought with her every day.

Alinda was the sweetest, most caring, precious person ever.  It always turned into the best day when she was around.  She was so funny.  She made me tea.  We loved garage sales and resale shops together. We loved dishes together.  And we loved Jesus together.  She’s home.

Alinda welcomed me into their family 38 years ago when I married her youngest brother, George.  She always encouraged us and loved being with our grandchildren.   Every Labor Day she would bring their Mom, Angeline Ray to Beavers Bend and play in the river with the kids.  Always a memorable time. You will be Missed So Very much dear lady.  Love always

Alinda was a true friend to everyone at school years ago. We all had some great times together. Girl you were only 69. Hey that's what I am now. Prayers for your family as they deal with your passing.


Alinda was my best friend in high school at Yantis, Texas.  She was always there to listen to anyone who wanted or needed to talk.  She always had a smile on her face no matter what was going on in her life.  We played basketball and were cheerleaders together.  Wherever or whatever we did there were always laughs and good times. I loved her dearly and hearing of her passing has sincerely hurt my heart. My prayers for her family. 

I went to school with Alinda in Yantis, TX.  I graduated a year before her.  We were in classes together and clubs and other things from that community.  I remember her as a sweet, caring person who treated others well and was a true friend.  It has been years since I have seen or communicate with her, but it was a shock to hear of her passing.
