Mrs. Jean D. Lebo

Jean D. Lebo, 94 of Harrisburg, passed away on Sunday September 22, 2019 with her family by her side. Jean was born on September 9, 1925 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, daughter of Valentine and Assunta Pagano Dininni. Jean was one of seven children who were born and raised in Rutherford Heights. She attended Swatara High School where she graduated in 1946. She worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Public Utility Commission, for many years where she made lifelong friends. She was a tremendous seamstress who could sew anything from a sweater to a suit. Growing up in an Italian home and neighborhood she became an excellent cook with Sunday's being the most memorable where family and friends would get together for great food and fun. In her later years she loved spending time and relaxing at the beach with family and friends. She loved watching seagulls, waterfowl and boats as they passed by. Jean was a member of Saint Catherine Laboure Parish. She was a deeply devoted Catholic whose spiritual beliefs guided her through life. She constantly prayed for those around her to help make their lives better and brighter. She was truly an Angel to all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was selfless in her very being and spent her entire life helping family and friends. Her enormous strength came from her unwavering belief in God and her reassurance that all will be reunited again. She will be greatly missed as she truly was an inspiration to all. Jean was the beloved wife to the late Robert W. Lebo, who passed away in 2005; loving mother to Richard A. Lebo and his wife Donna; loving aunt to Scott A. Lebo and fiance Tammy Leister; and leaves behind many relatives and very dear friends. Jean most recently resided at Artis Senior Living of Lemoyne. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Artis for their compassionate and professional care and welcoming Jean into their caring family. The family also wishes to thank Hospice For All Seasons for the respect and dignity they showed Jean and family during these difficult times. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Catherine Laboure Church, 4000 Derry Street, Harrisburg, Pa. at 11:00 am on Friday September 27, 2019. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 at the church. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Catherine Laboure Parish.
