Dottie was born on April 8, 1942 in Albany, NY to Jacob and Elizabeth Henkens. She graduated from Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School in 1960. Dottie moved to Texas in 1979, where she began working for Texas Instruments as a Manufacturing Technician.
While living in Texas she finished raising her two children and got to watch her grandchildren grow up. She even was able to enjoy two great-granddaughters in her last years. Her children and grandchildren remember her as an ever present, reliable women, who was always willing to help in whatever way possible.
She was a patient individual who loved her pets and who was passionate about gardening. She loved spending time outside checking on all her budding flowers and watching the kids play.
Dottie is survived by her older sister, Jane A. Brouillette and younger sister, Linda M. Erickson(Dan). Her two children, Elizabeth B. Fair (Mike/PeePaw) and Rayne F. Farrell. Grandchildren, Justin L. Fair (Janae) and Morgan L. Lancaster (Laura). Great-Grandchildren, Cailin E. Hyatt and Lillian G. Lancaster.
A Memorial Service will be on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 1200 S Bagdad Rd, Leander, Texas 78641. Graveside services will follow at Bagdad Cemetery, 400 N Bagdad Rd, Leander, Texas 78641.
