It is with heavy hearts that the family of Laurie Cubbidge announce her passing at Lake of the Woods District Hospital, Kenora, Ontario.
Left to mourn are her beloved husband and childhood sweetheart, Tony Cubbidge; sister Kim Chittick; sister-in-law Linda Cubbidge; and numerous loving relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Shirley and Wally Chittick.
Laurie grew up and attended school in Winnipeg. After marrying Tony in 1982, his work took them to Kenora where they happily resided for over 35 years.
Laurie’s greatest joy was connecting with and caring for her family and friends. She could be counted on to listen with her heart, and just to hear her laugh made the world a little brighter.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Drs. Kyle and Wong, Palliative Care nurse Char Melillo, and the nursing staff of 3-West for their amazing care, compassion and support of our beloved Laurie.
Cremation and interment will take place at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home and Cemetery, where a private family service will be held.
