About

Count on Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home in Pataskala, Ohio, to help you create a meaningful memorial to be remembered by all who attend. We provide fine funeral and cremation services and believe in treating all of the families who come to us with dignity and respect.

Expert funeral directors and associates

Our expert funeral directors start by listening to you. We work with your inspiration to discover what elements will inspire a personalized, direct connection between guests and the ceremony—a favorite song, an iconic color or a life-long passion—and incorporate them into a custom-tailored memorial service to best reflect a life.

This approach keeps us open to traditional religious rites as well as contemporary gatherings. That means that whether you want a basic cremation with ashes scattered in a personally meaningful place, a church funeral with cemetery burial, or a modern celebration of life with live music, favorite foods and a send-off that expresses the passions of yourself or your loved one, we are happy to deliver.

Cremation services

Not everyone knows that there are many cremation options. If you are interested in cremation, the funeral home team can explain the process and different options. From a direct cremation without a memorial service or a witness cremation to a full funeral service before or after the cremation and more, we help you understand this increasingly common choice—and handle all of the cremation arrangements.

History

In 1911, Vinton D. Morrow Funeral Home opened on Jefferson Street in Pataskala, planting the earliest roots of Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home. In 1948, relocation placed the funeral home in downtown Pataskala, where it became part of everyday life for neighbors who became friends.

Ownership changed to Gene Thurston’s hands in 1958 and to Warren and Christine Kauber in 1974. The early 1990s saw expansion to house a new chapel and provide more complete services to families in need. Today, Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home continues to give back as members of the community.
