Mitchell Lane Minor,46, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away at home on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 after a brief illness. He was born on January 21, 1975 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Paul and Janna (Hannah) Minor.
Mitch graduated from Greenwood High School in 1993 and often reminisced about his time playing football with the Greenwood Bulldogs. He earned his BA in 2000 from Arkansas State University where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.
Over the course of his professional career in sales, he worked for a variety of companies including AFLAAC, AT&T, Cox Communications, and most recently, Alert Alarm Systems. He was active in the Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jay-Cees) and especially enjoyed working on the Haunted House at Fort Chaffee every October.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Minor and his uncle, Randy Hannah. He is survived by his wife, Carrie (Fordham) Minor of Fort Smith, Arkansas; his mother, Janna (Hannah) Minor of Greenwood, Arkansas; his sister, Brandie Brown of Owasso, Oklahoma; his son, Spencer Foster of West Memphis, Arkansas and his daughter, McKenna Minor of Newport, Arkansas.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at the Minor residence in Fort Smith.
