Lois Ann Chick, age 83, born January 2, 1938 passed away on September 10, 2021. Ann was a lifelong resident of East Lansing, graduating from East Lansing High School in 1955 and then from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management in 1959. She worked several years at the International Center on the campus of MSU until she decided to devote her time to raising her family. She and her husband Lyle raised five children. She cherished her family and made a point to support her children in their various activities and in turn, her grandchildren.
She was a Cub Scout Den Mother and devoted many years of community service to the Junior League of Lansing. Ann enjoyed many years of golfing, loved traveling, shopping, attending Wharton Center events, playing bridge and gathering with family and friends on Glen Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dr. Oliver B. and Bernice McGillicuddy, sister Sarah Jane (Tom) Ritter.
She is survived by her husband Lyle of 62 years; children: Jeff of Grand Rapids, Jackie (Russ) of Grand Rapids, Jerry of Chicago, Jay (Heather) of Battle Creek, and Jon of Williamston; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Ann will be missed by all who knew her but her love for family and friends will forever live on in our hearts.

Visitation with the family will be held from 10-12 p.m. on September 17, 2021 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI 48823. Funeral services will take place immediately following. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
