Renée Bachant died peacefully in her sleep from complications related to progressive dementia in the early morning hours of Wednesday, December 25th in Fresno, CA. Renée was born in Sanger on June 28th, 1954 and spent her life in the Central Valley. She was a graduate of McLane High School class of 1972 and a dedicated employee of both local and national banks and lenders, eventually working her way up to the position of Vice President at Resource Lenders before having to retire because of her declining health.
Renée leaves behind her son Robert and her daughter Kari, and her granddaughters Amaris and Cadence. She is survived by her mother Geri and brothers John, Rodney, Ralph, and Robert Lee, her caretakers Carrie Anaforian, Victoria Casarez, Nina Ramage, and the friends and people who weren’t born of her but whom she loved as if they were.
Renée was proud of her successes professionally, but most of all maternally. As a single mother she raised two healthy, successful children and instilled in them the importance of taking care of those dear to you, of having moral character, a strong work ethic, being the person you are, and of the value of laughter (and a good, dirty joke). Her wishes to be cremated have been followed by her family, and there will be a remembrance of her later this year at her Happiest Place on Earth.
Her children would like to thank the people who never gave up fighting for her while she was sick, especially the staff of Dycora Memory Care who could see the beauty in her heart even when she couldn’t speak.
