William “Bill” Easton Bliss passed away on January 30, 2020. He was born December 14, 1941 to George and Helen Bliss of Swansea, Massachusetts. He is survived by his sister Marjory Stickler, her husband David Stickler, his sisters Nancy Bliss and Helen Frances Jordan, his life partner Betsy Brownell, their daughter Amy Cabana, as well as his many nieces and nephews, cousins, and special cousins Lou Kimball and Joey Roberts. He was predeceased by his parents, and by brothers Arthur and Chase Kimball, and sister Starelle Kimball King.
As a boy, Bill played all sports, especially enjoying Little League baseball where he pitched for the Dodgers. He had a great fondness for art and music, spent many happy hours skating on local ponds, shooting baskets in the barn loft, rowing his boat at Cedar Cove and exploring with his many friends. With a keen observant eye, Bill never missed details and the beauty of nature. Music spoke to him and he is remembered for dancing with great rhythm to crazy 50's songs. Also, Bill graduated from Bridgeton Academy and Springfield College.
Family was all important to Bill, who never forgot to ask news of nieces and nephews,
cousins and friends. Bill’s friendly and open nature drew many unique people into his life. He was never one to judge. His defining nature was his open mind and compassionate heart. He loved animals too. When the family dogs and cats were not enough for Bill's need to share his love, he somehow talked his parents into letting him bring two baby goats into the family.
Bill knew hard times too. He had struggles beyond what many of us have even known. Life was
not always kind to Bill, but Bill was always kind to life. He was a man of faith and believed good people are rewarded with eternal happiness. In fact, there is a good chance he's sitting in heaven right now, cold beer in hand, waving everyone over to hear about the time he found a baby crow and brought it home to live in the corn crib. Or about how much he loves his daughter Amy or how he misses Betsy. Smile for Bill, his stories were the best.

A memorial service will be held February 22, 2020 at Waring-Sullivan Funeral Home in Fall
River, Massachusetts with a calling hour at 10:00 am and service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness. www.NAMI.org
