I really was glad one year my mom had a Halloween party and I got to visit with Josie. It was then I realized what a special person she was. Such a kind heart and what a huge love for animals. Josie you will be missed by so many. My mom sends her condolences Cathy, we wanted to come to The celebration of life but mom wasn’t doing too well today. But you and Josie were in our thoughts.

I remember this charming young Lady sitting atop a metal kid's slide in a tiny park and she was waiting for her lover to ride up on his motorcycle so that they could spend some time together.  That's where it all started.  It bloomed into a friendship and then into a daughter-Dad relationship - you were my first "Daughter!"  Your life was filled with highs and lows as you struggled to be "seen" for who you really were.  When you applied yourself, your intelligence glowed!!  When you caved in to insecurities, you suffered for for it.  But beneath all of the failures and successes was this woman with a radiant, loving heart!!!!  The world is less without you in it.  I shall find something that you did that I don't now do, and I will honor your memory by doing that something for you and in memory of you.  You may have shed a body, but your loving soul remains close at hand.  Myrna and Carl

Ohhh Josie, I loved you from the moment I walked in CRS in Yuma, your beautiful smile lit up the room. I considered you a dear friend through thick and thin. Your laugh was infectious, your generosity overflowing. I am so sad that I can’t call and chat, but I know you needed peace and you are ok. I will always remember what a delight you were in my life and miss you always. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

My sweet childhood friend,  Josie, many times we saw life through different lens, but one thing we always agreed on was how wonderful if felt to converse with each  over the phone about the good ole days. We would always finish our phone call by saying, “Let’s keep in touch” When visiting Yuma, I would call to see if you felt well enough to go out and just talk over pie and coffee or tea. Now what will I do.. without me able to call you. My heart will “Miss you” very much. I Love you, Josie. You are now pain free..🦋❤️🌹

Sister, I am so thankful I got to spend time with you when we did. You shared your life with me and I'm sorry we didn't grow up together. You were always so happy and that beautiful smile I will always remember. I'm saddened that you are gone. You and the memories we shared, will always be in my heart.

Aunt Josie... your sweet smile, giggles and laughter is what I'll miss most about you.  I always loved how you were so good at giving everyone little nicknames (and by the way, I still hadn't figured out why you called me tweety-bird).  You had a big heart for pretty much, every fur-baby on the planet, and were loved more than you knew by many... I will cherish all the memories we shared from when we lived in Yuma, holding them dear to my heart.  I'm so sad to know you are no longer on this earth.  When I think of Yuma, it's always been correlated with you, and now, will feel empty there without you.

I'll never forget the feeling when we would pass in the hallway in school.  When you looked at me, I felt ten feet tall.  I remember you saying that it was weird we never dated.  Probably because I was afraid you'd say no.  

Now, I've forever lost that chance.  I will miss you, Josie.

You are missed, dear Josie. And, you know we all love you. May you rest now, dear friend, knowing that your fur babies will be cared for.  See you on the other side, Jojo.
