Sybil Juanita Williams Lenderman

Sybil Juanita Williams Lenderman, age 87, passed away Monday, September 9, 2019 in St. Mary's Hospice surrounded by her loving family. Sybil was born in Commerce, lived most of her life in Athens and for the last 1 1/2 years was a resident of Morningside of Athens Assisted Living. She was a graduate of Athens High School and Athens Technical College, where she studied nursing. Sybil retired, after 20 years of service, from St. Mary's Hospital and was of the Baptist faith. Sybil was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Herbert Lenderman and daughter, Pamela Lenderman Hartline. She is survived by her children, Jan Hill, Robert Lenderman, Jr, and Vickie Edwards all of Athens and Robin Lenderman (Bill Credille) of Greensboro/Athens; brother, Dean Williams of Texas; sisters, Dale Glawson of Hoover, AL and Janie Williams of Athens; son-in-law, Mike Hartline of Chattanooga, TN; former daughter-in-law, Susan Lenderman McKinney of North Carolina; grandson, Robert Lenderman, III and his wife, Robin of North Carolina; granddaughter, Valerie Lenderman of North Carolina; great grandson Kip Lenderman of North Carolina and many nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held 1:00 to 2:00 PM Thursday in Bernstein Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday in the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with Pastor Howard Conine officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice, P.O. Box 6588, Athens, GA 30604. Bernstein Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
