Joan Collins

Joan Collins (Nee McCarroll), 99, peacefully passed away June 26, 2019, in Richmond Hill, Ontario. She was born November 12, 1919, in Toronto Ontario. Joan was the beloved wife to the late Edwin Hugh Collins of York, Ontario. Dear daughter of the late Mary McCarroll (Nee Hough) and William Joseph McCarroll. Loving Aunt of Carole Dunphy, (David) great Aunt of Trevor Dunphy (Heather) and Janice Barkham (Regan) and great, great Aunt of Ryan Dunphy. Joan was a music and sports enthusiast. She played the church organ for many years and continued her passion for music by singing in the choir and playing the piano while living in her retirement home. Joan will be remembered as a loving, strong, determined and fiercely independent woman. She will be greatly missed. Friends are invited to share their memories of Joan during visitation at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora Ontario on July 12 at 10:00 am followed by a celebration of life service at 11:00 a.m.
