Matilda Steinke

Mrs. Matilda Steinke (Reich), late of Barrhead, Alberta, was called home to be with her Savior on November 19, 2018, at the age of 86 years. She was born on May 8, 1932 in Tomahawk, Alberta. On July 3, 1954, she was united in marriage with Siegfried Steinke in Manola, Alberta. God blessed them with 61 years of marriage. Most of these years they spent together on a farm in the Barrhead area. She will be dearly missed by her loving children: Hanna (Gilbert) Steinke, Hubert (Dianne) Steinke, Heidi (David) Froese, Bruno (Julie) Steinke, 13 Grandchildren, and 4 Great Grandchildren, her sisters Hertha Wolfram, Erna Brust, and brothers Oswald Reich, Paul (Sally) Reich and Gerhart (Margaret) Reich. Her brother in law Hans (Helen) Steinke and sister in laws, Helga and Maggie Steinke, as well as extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Siegfried, of 61 years; her son, Werner; her parents, Edmund and Emilie; her siblings, Edwin, Ida, Freda, and Linda. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the 47th Street Church of God, Barrhead, Alberta.
