Diane Rene Sanders

Diane Rene Sanders was born on August 22, 1957 on Johnson’s Air Force Base in Japan. Her parents were Clifton Monroe Tangsrud and Barbara Hope Moss. Diane’s father was in the Air Force and they moved around a lot. Her father finally settled in Cass County, Missouri around 1970. Diane married her husband, William A. Sanders, Jr. on December 7, 1975. They were married for almost 44 years. She had three children, Rebecca, Brian, and Chris. Diane worked for the State of Missouri as a Clerical Technician for over 35 years. She retired in 2014. She passed away June 6, 2019 at home. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jeff, and granddaughter Summer. Survivors include her husband William; sisters Marla & Bob Gaston of Belton, MO, Colleen & Mitch Aldrich of Covington, VA; brother Jason & Melony Tangsrud of Bottineau, ND; daughter Rebecca A. Fields & Cheyenne Norris of Warsaw MO; sons Brian K. Sanders & Marissa Satrum of Kansas City, MO, Christopher & Emilee Sanders of Creighton, MO; grandchildren Kaitlynn Fields, Hunter Fields, Tyler Fields, Haley Howard, Ramey Howard, Brian Sanders Jr., Keaton Satrum, Kyrin Sanders; one great-grandchild Liam Harris; nieces Malinda Beasley, Victoria Tangsrud, April Aldrich, Abbigail Aldrich, Amanda Aldrich, Alexis Aldrich and nephew Robert Gaston. Diane was adventurous, and liked to travel, spend time outdoors, as well as reading, watching football, sewing, or a good puzzle. She was bright, and vibrant and could always put a smile on your face. She was a great Mother and made many selfless sacrifices for the benefit of others. She loved her family and everyone in it. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 10:00am at the McGilley & George Funeral Home in Belton, Missouri. Visitation the evening before from 6:30-8:30pm. Burial at the Westmoreland Cemetery in Westmoreland, Kansas, following the funeral service. Condolences for the family may be left for the family at www.mcgilleygeorgebelton.com.
