Obituary of Bobby K. Heath
Bobby K. Heath was brought into world on May 8th, 1935 to Conrad and Ethel Heath in Normangee, Texas. There he grew up attending school until he joined the Navy in 1952. He fought in the Korean war as a gunners mate 3rd class on board the USS Essex. After his Honorable discharge in 1954, he settled in the Seattle area where he worked at various jobs and shipyards. He married Geraldine Hagel and started his family with a son, Shane. They moved back to Texas and had a second son, Gerald. Moving back to Washington, he had a third son, Thomas. In 1982, he moved back to Texas where, in 1984, he married Gladys Kroll Plagens gaining another son Billy, daughters, Sandy and Harlan Flatt, Barbara and Joe Berry, and Debbie and Larry Perez. He retired from the paint shop at Texas A&M in 1995. He was a member of the VFW and the Woodmen. He loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed the company of friends and family including 22 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. After a weary journey through life, with Gladys and family by his side, he left this world to be with our Lord and loved ones, who had preceded him in death, on June 14th, 2019. He is survived by his wife Gladys and sisters Carolyn Rogers and Patsy Sue Iverson Visitation is from 5 to 8 pm on June 17th, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. The funeral service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, June 18th, 2019 also at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Rest-Ever Memorial Park Cemetery, with Military Honors provided by the American Legion Earl Graham Post 159 in Bryan.
