Kameryn Kate Young

October 10, 2016June 23, 2019

Kameryn Kate Young went peacefully into the arms of the Lord surrounded by her family on June 23, 2019.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 28 at Christ the Good Shepherd Chapel, 600 South Coulter in Bryan with Msgr. John McCaffrey officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 p.m. Thursday with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary Service at Christ the Good Shepherd Chapel.

She was born on October 10, 2016 at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston to Matt and Brooke Young. She came into the world already a fighter after being diagnosed in utero with a Congenital Pulmonary Airway Malformation. After lung surgery at 3 days old and 3 weeks in the NICU, she came home to College Station where she grew into a strong and vibrant little girl.

Kameryn was a pure ray of sunshine. She had the most beautiful blue eyes and an incredibly contagious smile. She was always going at “full speed” which earned her the nickname Hurricane Kam. She was known by many people in her community because she was always walking up to people and saying “Hi! Whas yo name?” and giving them that sweet smile.

She enjoyed going to preschool, playing with friends and cousins, baby dolls, sidewalk chalk, blowing bubbles, and eating candy. She and her big sister Kristine loved each other very much.

She is preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Sheryl Pace and her great-grandfathers, James Marion Rosier and Herbert L. Young Sr.

She has a multitude of loved ones who will forever cherish her memory: her parents, Matt and Brooke Young; her big sister, Kristine Young; her maternal grandparents, Lisa and Todd Cleveland and Pat and Joanie Pace; her paternal grandparents, Larry and Beverly Young; her great-grandparents, Buddy and Mary Frances Zemanek, Nick Pace, Bertie Young, and Martha Rosier; her aunts and uncles, Chrysa and Caleb Bondurant, Michael Beck, Crystal and Mark Schinzler, Lindy and Chris Beasley; her cousins, Weston and Wyatt Beasley, Deliah, Damaris, and Denton Schinzler; numerous second cousins and special family friends.

Memorial donations may be made in Kameryn's memory to a charity of choice.

I’ll cherish the time we spent Father’s Day weekend at the lake with Kam and the rest of the family. I see her playing with Kris and Maverick in the living room with all the balloons 🎈! I can see her face lighting up when she was playing with the peek a boo elephant 🐘 and eating cake for breakfast. She was such a character when she did her Canadian impression. I know she was so loved by everyone especially her Papa. I keep playing that weekend over in my mind remembering the joy and love all around. We love you guys and we will miss her sweet face! We may never know why she was called to heaven so soon but I know she is in Gods hands now and I hope that we all may find peace in that. 🙏
