Obituary of Mrs. Angeline Cameron
ANGELINE CAMERON Feb. 26, 1926 - June 30, 2018 Born in Cut Knife Saskatchewan It is with the deepest sadness that we must say goodbye to our wonderful mother and friend, Angeline Cameron. Born of Italian immigrants on February 26, 1926 Angeline grew up in a small farming community in Baldwinton, Saskatchewan. The oldest of four children, she was predeceased by her husband, Herman R. Cameron in 2017, parents Joseph and Antonia Biondo, brother Louie, sister Irma Roberge (Johnny). She is survived by her daughter Jill Cameron, son William Cameron of Orlando Florida, beloved granddaughter Lindsay Antonia Cameron, brother Joseph Biondo, niece Louisa and nephew Danny Biondo. Married for 68 years, Ann met her husband Herman shortly after WWII. They moved west to Duncan, B.C. and later Chemainus, where Herman worked as a longshoreman. They moved to Nanaimo in 1963 and remained there to raise their family until they moved to East Vancouver to be closer to family. Granddaughter Lindsay's birth in 1997 brought great joy, they loved her dearly and she them. Ann was always ahead of her time, a visionary, a prophetess, a great observer, a keen reader of people, she could pierce your heart with an uncanny ability to sense your deepest worries and would offer a healing word or gentle touch of her hand to allay your fears. Having an extraordinary sense of humor and dry wit, 'gramma' made everyone feel special and made everyone laugh. She was very well loved at George Derby Veterans Facility where she lived with her husband. We will be hard pressed to find another woman like this of such great integrity, work and moral ethic, compassion and empathy. She was Martha Stewart before there was a Martha Stewart. There was nothing she couldn't do and do it well, she did. May God rest your sweet and loving soul Mom, you touched so many and no one will ever forget you. Your loving family and friends. Memorial will be held on Thursday, July 19th 2018 at the Forest Lawn Chapel in Burnaby at 2 p.m. Peace be with you mom.
