Eufrasia Sovernigo

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Eufrasia Sovernigo who lost her battle with cancer on August 29th, 2019. She fought valiantly for 3 years keeping her devotion to the family and sense of humour all the while. She is survived by her loving husband, Ilario; her daughters, Sonia (Paul), Carla (Stan), Laura (Colin) and Linda; as well as her grandchildren, Alessia, Erika, Olivia, Simon, Ethan and Amira; her brother Mario and sister, Bruna. Our beautiful Wife, Mother and Nonna will be remembered for her caring, humour, friendship and extraordinary capacity to love. We bore witness to her unwavering faith, so although she will be so greatly missed, we are comforted by the knowledge that she is embraced in the arms of our Lord. On behalf of the entire family, we would like to thank friends and family and especially St Michaels’ Hospice and Eufrasia’s caregivers who have lifted and supported all of us during this difficult time. Friends will be received for viewing at Bell Funeral Chapel on Sep 3, 2019 at 6:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St.Helen’s Catholic Church, 3860 Triumph St, Burnaby, BC on September 4 , 2019 at 12:00pm. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be made to St. Michael’s Hospice Society (stmichaels.bc.ca) or the BC Cancer Agency (bccancer.bc.ca)
