Laura Yee Gan Leong Dec 9, 1941-Mar 10, 2019 Our hearts are heavy with the sudden loss of Laura, beloved wife of Wilfred, mother of Debbie (Randy), Cindy (Paul) and Wesley (Carolyn), and grandmother to Trevor, Leah, Katie, Emma and Lauryn. Ever vivacious and kind-hearted, Laura took a keen interest in the lives of her family, extended family and friends. Lifelong partner to Wilfred for 57 years, they worked in his insurance business and travelled extensively, enjoying many cruises and trips to Europe, Asia and New Zealand. Laura took hundreds of photos at every family event and became a ‘Facebook Queen’. Forever young at heart, Laura always had an eye for fashion and a bargain deal. She shopped for everyone, never missed a birthday and never looked her age. We will miss Laura’s zest for life, her smile and exuberance. She is survived by her sisters and brothers: Shirley (Bill), Stan (Dorothy), Randy (Candy, recently predeceased), Jane (Wayne), Yee Von and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at Ocean View Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 27 at 1pm. Viewing will be from 6-8pm on March 26 at the same location. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation.
