Mrs. Muriel Choy Foon Lee

It is with great sadness that the family of Muriel Choy Foon Lee announce her passing on September 27, 2019, at the Royal Columbian Hospital at the age of 89. Muriel was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Keen (Kenny). She is survived by her daughters, Linda and Sherry (Ben), and her devoted son, Darrow (Nancy); her grandchildren, Ulric, Sarika, Serena, Nicki (Justin), Traci (Nathan), James (Sarah), Aaron and her twin great granddaughters, Brooklyn and Lucy. The oldest of nine children, Muriel is also survived by her sisters, Rose, Sue and Angeles; her brothers, Herbert (Lorraine), Gordon (Mary), and Frank (Vivian); and her sisters-in-laws, Jessie and Millie. She is predeceased by her parents, George Joe Chow and Qui Yong Chow, and her brothers, John and Douglas. She will be remembered by her many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A kind, caring, loving and compassionate person with a great sense of humour, Muriel lived a full life as a wonderful mother and grandmother, homemaker, and sales associate for both Eaton's Ladies Fashions and Robert Gish Jewelers. Together with her husband, she loved to entertain - cooking and baking a big spread for every holiday. No one could make "Pound Cake" like Muriel. Muriel will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Many thanks to the wonderful staff in South Main at George Derby Centre in Burnaby, Burnaby General Hospital and the Royal Columbian Hospital for their compassion and case over these past three years. A service for Muriel will be held on Wednesday October 9th at 10:00 am at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, with a Light Reception to follow. There is viewing on Tuesday October 8th between 7:00 - 9:00 pm.
