Renato Timbol Cruz

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Renato Timbol Cruz on August 7th, 2019 at Royal Columbian Hospital. Born on November 5th, 1938 in Manila, Philippines. Rene is survived by his family, wife Shirley, children John (Joan), Jennifer (Lino), grandchildren Nicolas and Samantha and his many nieces, nephews and extended family & friends. He joins his parents, Gaudencio and Emilia, and all 8 of his brothers and sisters in heaven. His kindness, generosity and good nature will be greatly missed. Rene was a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather who had unconditional love for his family. He was happiest when surrounded by family, especially his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and family members who always brought him happiness and laughter. His dedication to both his immediate and extended family will be missed by all. Dad, you were unexpectedly taken from us and we wish our time with you could have been longer. Thank you for your sacrifices and for reminding us that family is always important. You will always be in our hearts and we will forever miss your smile and twinkle in your eyes. Prayers will be offered on Wednesday, August 14th, 2019 at 7:30pm at Holy Cross Parish, 1450 Delta Avenue, Burnaby, BC with mass of Christian Burial being celebrated on Thursday, August 15th, 2019 at 11:00am. Entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park, South Mausoleum, at 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC.
